It is a great way to kick off my wedding blogs for 2017, with the beautiful wedding of Carrie & Billy, at The Park Hotel, Clonmel. Going back to a venue I have captured on a few occasions can be daunting, as you don’t want to duplicate the shots from previous wedding’s.
But for me, it makes me work even harder to try different shots and angles, to make the wedding different and that little more special.
Carrie, had local Hair Artist Sara Condon and Make Up Artist Karen Reeves looking after her. They are both fantastic to work with, very professional and their work is fantastic. They both worked together and had everything done on time.
This is always great for a photographer, as any delays in the morning can affect the flow of the whole day.
Carrie and Billy had both the Ceremony and Reception at the Hotel, so they wanted to make the day a little more personal for them. So they arranged to meet each other before the ceremony at St. Patricks Well, located just a few minutes from the hotel.
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon, we were sure we would have the place to ourselves . . . . But were we in for a surprise!!!
Carrie’s old school had organised a school mass at the same time as our shoot!!! It was quite a surprise for all of us. I wasn’t sure how they would react, but being the great people Carrie and Billy are, they invited the girls over for a photo (or two!!) I got trigger happy!!
The school really appreciated it, and the girls all wanted to touch the dress!!
We had to warn them that we still had to get to the wedding, so no dirty hands!
And on to the ceremony
Weddings cakes can be quite elegant and have become a very important part of the Wedding plans. But, I have never seen a cake like this! The details were just amazing, I found myself going back on a few occasions to make sure I hadn’t missed anything.
Well done to Phil O’Regan, at Flour Power Cakes for this awesome cake!
And finally to finish the day off, a few dance moves.
